We are delighted to attend the 7th month Hungry Ghost Festival Dinner organized by Chinatown Business Association with Guest of Honour, Dr Wan Rizal Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar GRC gracing the event.
For those who are unfamiliar with the festival, it is an ancient Chinese tradition deeply rooted in Singapore’s cultural heritage.
It is believed that the gates of the afterlife open during the 7th month of the Lunar Calendar. Chinese partake in rituals, performances and feasts to honour and appease wandering souls.
We had a fantastic time with an immersive experience that included a walking tour of Chinatown ,Getai performances, live auction items, and an exquisite 8-course dinner!
